ArabianAr-Rahman (The Most Gracious) - سورة الرحمن
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ (۷)
He constructed the sky and established the law.
وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ (۹)
You shall establish justice; do not violate the law.
فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ (۱۱)
In it there are fruits, and date palms with their hanging fruit.
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ (۱۳)
(O humans and jinns,) which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ (۱٤)
He created the human from aged clay, like the potter's clay.
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ (۱٦)
(O humans and jinns,) which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ (۱۷)
Lord of the two easts and the two wests.
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِ (۲۰)
A barrier is placed between them, to prevent them from transgressing.
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ (۲۲)
Out of both of them you get pearls and coral.
وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ (۲٤)
He gave you ships that roam the sea like flags.
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ (۲۷)
Only the presence of your Lord lasts. Possessor of Majesty and Honor.
يَسْأَلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ (۲۹)
Imploring Him is everyone in the heavens and the earth. Every day He is in full control.
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ (۳۱)
We will call you to account, O humans and jinns.
يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ (۳۳)
O you jinns and humans, if you can penetrate the outer limits of the heavens and the earth, go ahead and penetrate. You cannot penetrate without authorization.
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِ (۳۵)
You get bombarded with projectiles of fire and metal, and you cannot win.
فَإِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ (۳۷)
When the sky disintegrates, and turns rose colored like paint.
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ إِنْسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ (۳۹)
On that day, no human, nor a jinn, will be asked about his sins.
يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ (٤۱)
(This is because) the guilty will be recognized by their looks; they will be taken by the forelocks and the feet.
هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ (٤۳)
This is Gehenna that the guilty used to deny.
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ (٤٤)
They will circulate between it and an intolerable inferno.
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ (٤٦)
For those who reverence the majesty of their Lord, two gardens (one for the jinns and one for the humans).
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ (۵٤)
While relaxing on furnishings lined with satin, the fruits are within reach.
فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ (۵٦)
Their beautiful mates were never touched by any human or jinn.
هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ (٦۰)
Is the reward of goodness anything but goodness?
وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ (٦۲)
Below them are two gardens (one for the jinns and one for the humans).
فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ (٦۸)
In them are fruits, date palms, and pomegranate.
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ (۷٤)
No human ever touched them, nor a jinn.
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ (۷٦)
They relax on green carpets, in beautiful surroundings.
